Our team prides itself on the diversity of its members. It encourages and brings forward a physical and ideological mixture of members coming from different parts of the world. It is a strong advocate for women in physics, and puts its philosophy in action by supporting and working close to the Comité Diversité Physique in the department of physics at Université de Montréal, in which our member, Prof. Julie Hlavacek-Larrondo, is a founding member. It also extends its philosophy by giving talks in schools encouraging students of all backgrounds to consider a career in science.
To learn more about the outreach and actions of the comity, please visit the website, as well as our new campaign aiming to reach parity in physics in the entire province of Quebec (paritephysique.ca)
