Software for Problems
IV.2.2 Diffusive decay of magnetic fields
You will find below some computer software that will be useful for problem 2.2 in chapter 2 of part IV of the course, if you choose the numerical avenue to do this problem. You need to grab the following files:
- README.txt: Important Instructions
- mroutines.f: Useful Fortran subroutines
The file mroutines.f contains a series of FORTRAN-77 subroutines for the solution of linear systems of equations, whichj is basically what you are facing in doing inverse iteration.
The file README.txt contains additional explanations and instruction on how to use the routines.
