This project has been created by a few graduate students in Astronomy in 1999.
They had a chance to use the 1.6 m telescope at Mont-Mégantic not only for scientifics pruposes but also to share the dream of every astronomic photographer amateur. Their main goal was indeed to share their entousiasthm for astronomy to a broad public.
Since then, a important collection of beautiful high-resolution pictures has been set-up with free access. Time has passed, students has changed, but the original idea is still living
Though, you will find here the complete collection of the pictures but also:
- Some scientific reviews
- The story of the observatory
- Some informations about most of the instruments used at the observatory.
