2009-08-10: PASP article: Extreme faint flux imaging with an EMCCD

The CCCP controller and a CCD97 were mounted in a scientific camera. The first scientific results, obtained at the 1.6-m telescope of the Observatoire du mont Mégantic,  are presented in a PASP paper.

2009-01-12: A code to determine the gain of an EMCCD from dark frames

An IDL routine is available to determine accurately the gain of an EMCCD by the processing of dark frames taken at high electron multiplying gain.

2008-07-01: CCCP, A CCD Controler for Counting Photons

CCCP, a CCD Controller for Counting Photons was presented at the Marseille's SPIE 2008 conference on Astronomical Instrumentation. This novel CCD controller allows the Clock Induced Charges to be greatly reduced. The paper presents data gathered with a CCD97 EMCCD (by e2v Technologies).

2008-01-21: New version of the FP data reduction package

A new version of the FP data reduction package is available, together with an improved GUI. A Windows version of the GUI is now available. The latest versions of both the GUI and the reduction routines are 5.03.

A GUI to process your FP data

There is now a GUI to help you process your FP data. It allows to enter the observation/data reduction parameters. You don't have to use ADHOCw anymore...

This package is built using the QT portable libraries. It has been tested under Mac OSX and Linux. It allows to set-up the adp file used to configure the data reduction process. It can also be used to launch the data reduction itself.

FP Data reduction package

A data reduction package is available to process your data using IDL. It works under the following architectures: Mac OSX, Linux and Windows.

This package was tested with data coming from an Image Photon Counting System based on an photomultiplicator tube and a Fabry-Perot etalon (such as FaNTOmM). Many galaxies samples were observed and reduced with this package (BHαBAR, Virgo, SINGS)
