New initiative from our student, Carter Rhea – – Cadena is a free platform of sharing economy services without ads that aims to create bonds between users to promote exchange. Being a non-profit organization (NPO), Cadena’s goal is to create a sharing economy environment without taking any form of commission from it’s users transactions. Founded in 2019 with a used books selling service, Cadena is currently working on adding more services for 2020. 

Gates Cambridge: A global scholarship at Cambridge University – Annabelle Richard-Laferrière is awarded a prestigious Gates scholarship to pursue a PhD at Cambridge University in 2019.


Royal Society of CanadaJulie Hlavacek-Larrondo has been elected member of College of New Scholars, Artists and Scientists of the Royal Society of Canada.


ESO fellowshipMarie-Lou Gendron-Marsolais, former Ph. D. student and team member, has been selected for a ESO Postdoctoral Fellowship to work with ALMA.


Tout le monde en parle – One of our team members, Julie Hlavacek-Larrondo, was recently invited to the Canadian show Tout Le Monde En Parle to give a widely distributed vulgarization speech on black holes as a tribute to Stephen Hawking.
