David is an undergraduate student in astrophysics at Université de Montréal and a NSERC grant laureate for the summer 2016. As such, he is currently doing a research project supervised by Dr. Julie Hlavacek-Larrondo, which consists in searching for radio signatures coming from the galactic cluster merger Abell 2146.
The aim of the study is to test current assumptions tying radio emissions with phenomena such as shock fronts and particle acceleration due to cluster mergers.
Beforehand, David has completed a B.A. in English Studies at Université Laval (Québec) in 2011 and has taught English in Vietnam for several years. He is also a field technician in electronics cumulating years of practice overseas.
